The puzzles are fiction

The people, places, businesses and events in ClueKiln's puzzles are invented.

Any resemblance to real persons, living or dead, or to actual businesses, venues or events, is entirely coincidental. Nothing any character is said to have done, preferred, or been responsible for is a statement about anybody real.

If a name or place in a puzzle happens to match a real person or business in a way that concerns you, write to [email protected] and we will change it.

Some puzzles use real-world vocabulary — foods, festivals, instruments, holidays. These are used descriptively. Trademarks belong to their owners; their appearance implies no endorsement or association.

Who owns what

The puzzles, their text, and the site are owned by the operator of ClueKiln.

You may: play them; share your own results and the share snippet; screenshot or quote a puzzle for review, comment, news or teaching, with credit.

You may not, without written permission: scrape or bulk-download the puzzles; republish them as your own or in a competing product; or use them as training data for a machine-learning model.
